Weave House is a private residence located in Jakarta, Indonesia, designed by Wahana Architects and completed in 2020. The project addresses the challenge of creating a warm, intimate family space within a densely built urban environment.
Situated on a 435 m² plot surrounded by three-story buildings, the house adopts an introverted layout to ensure privacy and tranquility. A central courtyard with a pool serves as the heart of the home, around which living spaces are organized, fostering natural light and ventilation.
The exterior features a distinctive synthetic webbing façade on the second and third floors, providing a balance between privacy and natural illumination. Complementing this is a laser-cut metal fence with a woven pattern, enhancing the building's aesthetic appeal.
Inside, the design emphasizes fluid spatial transitions, with the central pool area connecting various rooms, including the family room, dining area, and bedrooms. This arrangement promotes interaction and a strong connection to nature, aligning with the family's desire for a serene living environment.
